K2805 Parallel Port Interface Kit

Dick Smith eletronics supply an interface board as a kit that connects to a parallel centronics printer port on your computer. Able to sense data, process it and use the results to control relays, motors, solenoids etc. Can monitor 10 analogue voltages. Drive 8 digital outputs. Generates 2 variable voltages.

This is an excellent kit that can have a myriad of uses.

Pikaia has developed a range of software and drivers to use this kit for data acquisition, logging and control applications.

K2805 Board Controller

Windows program to control all features of the board.

The download demo version is for trial. It is fully functional but restricted to:

• 1 ADC input channel
• 1 DAC output channel
• 1 Digital output.

K2805 Data Logger

Console/curses based data acquisition.

This program is a data logger designed to monitor and log up to 10 analog voltages.

Features:

• Highly configurable via user editable configuration file.
• Log voltages from all 10 ADC inputs.
• Dump captured logs at any time to floppy (or any removable device).
• Apply pre-set scaling to measurements before logging.
• Configurable audible warnings and alarms on low and high voltages (system beep).
• Dos (32-bit) or Unix.
• Powers the K2805 board on only for readings.
